This "reality" is not a complaint, just pure fact. I'm learning not to take my youth for granted, but after 9 pregnancies and as I gracefully enter my mid-thirties, I'm realizing my limitations. I also acknowledge the need for more exercise and more live foods in my diet
I'm sharing these candid thoughts, because as I enjoy my time with our sweet baby, I recognize I'm not superwoman. Recently, I have been so grateful to receive help with my regular family responsibilities. A dear friend in NY, blessed me with arranging for a "mommy's helper" to assist me with cooking, cleaning and childcare. This has been a tremendous help for our entire family as I take time to rest, heal and bond with our newest blessing, MaYah.
I'm learning so much during this time, and I highly recommend all new moms have some postpartum assistance for at least 2-3 weeks after delivery, (even if it's just part-time help.)
