Today I was going through my Torah (instruction) binder and I came across a set of notes from a Sabbath teaching Marlon shared about the "Anti-Christ." Interestingly, there have been accusations that our family fits in this category!
Honestly, this is so far from the truth that I don't even take offense to it anymore. However, I do admit that we have been labeled as "Jewish", so from that perspective I could see why one would think we deny the Messiah, ("Jews" are still awaiting their conquering King, Mashiyach ben Dawid)
Also, we choose to use the Hebrew name of the Messiah (see scroll above), versus the English transliterated name from Greek which is "Jesus". This would probably cause some people to assume that we are anti-christ.
Again, this is so far from the truth, so I decided to post a few snip-its from my notes to further clarify (see below) :
(Keep in mind that "Messiah" is a translated from the Hebrew word "Mashiyach" which means "Anointed" (H#4899,)---In my notes I chose to use "Messiah" since it is more commonly used and understood in Christian & Messianic gatherings. Also, in Greek, it is translated as "Christ") :

- The spirit of the Anti-Messiah = doctrines/teachings that speak against the Messiah (G#500)
- PROPHECY declares the Hebrew Messiah (Anointed One) fulfills the function of 1.King, 2.Prophet, 3.Priest, 4.Judge
- REFERENCE: 1John 2:18-27 warns against the Anti-Messiah
- IMPORTANT: Anti-Messiah wants people to follow him versus the Messiah
- Two erroneous trains of thought: 1. Some don''t believe the Brit Chadasha ("Renewed Covenant"/"New Testament") because they state it teaches against the Torah & 2.Others believe that the Messiah did away with the instructions (laws) of Elohim (God)
- IMPORTANT:Anti-Messiah teaches against the instructions/commandments =lawlessness....the Messiah is the law-giver & king who rules by the mandates of His father
- Psalms 2 describes the state of the nations and the instructions for the Messiah
- The Messiah is RIGHTEOUS and those who follow him will seek righteousness
- Righteousness in Hebrew has an ancient meaning of being on the path or right, just, lawful(H#6662), and in Greek (G#1342) refers to being innocent, holy--
- Examples of righteousness in the Brit Chadasha ("Renewed Covenant"/"New Testament") before & after the Messiah's birth are Zacariah & Elisabeth (Luke 1:6), Simeon (Luke 2:25), Cornelius (Acts 10:22) (Plus numerous examples in the Tanakh or Torah/Prophets/Writings, aka "The Old Testament")
- I John 4:1-6 refers to testing the spirit (whether they are "anti-messiah)
