Shabbat was a true delight...full of study, feasting and overall rest!!
The children continued with their Hebrew studies & finished up unit 2-3 from the "Exploring the Alephbeyt" course (http://exploringhebrew.weebly.com/lessons.html). They also enjoyed some coloring pages I found on http://www.akhlah.com/.
I also asked our oldest 3 children to begin transcribing "The Song of Moses" found in Deuteronomy 32, (this instruction can be found in Deuteromy 31:19.)
Another part of our "table time" involved studying Yom Terurah & Rosh Hashana. I focused on this because on Thursday, the assembly that we congregate with here in Idaho is having fellowship for this Feast & "Head of the Year". During our study, the children asked questions & we all read about the history & traditions of these celebrations. I admit, I learned a lot from the time we studied together!
After that, Marlon also taught a 2 part teaching on the "Scriptural Role and Design of Women." Later in the evening we had a group discussion & readings from several passages found in Exodus, Ezekiel & Phillipians.
Now, all that may sound like "work" to some, but it was a pure jto study and discuss the living word of Elohim. Once again, Shabbat was a delight!!
