We had a joyous Shabbat we had in our new dwelling. Much thanksgiving and excitment as we enjoyed this set-apart time We had much preparation the previous day, so this time of rest was much appreciated.
The children managed to finish transcribing The Disciples Prayer & we began a little reading of Debarim (Deu6) in Hebrew. We are still playing the Scriptures in Hebrew before bedtime, so their ears are being trained to hear the pronunciations of the language.
Our friends came over for a visit, then we spent time at their house reading the Scriptures together. I really enjoyed the verses from Hebrews 8 talking about the renewed covenant and promises. We also read in Torah about the specifications of the Tabernacle and later in 1Kings about the instructions for Solomon's Temple.
Here's one of the verses that stood out during this reading:
1Kings 5:12-14 (KJV)
"Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father: And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel."
